Within these sectors we seek technologies that have a high potential for sustainable growth. Green technology is the most obvious market sector that is still in the relatively early stages of development. There are many factors that indicate this industry will continue to grow and thrive. These include but are not limited to: the rising cost of oil, the growing impact of climate change, and changes to society that will result in stronger support for resource sustainability and environmental stewardship.
But within mature technology sectors, such as wireless data communications, there are still emerging technology companies that effectively innovate and create larger markets by developing new products that every consumer wants. There are few companies that can compare to Apple in terms of creating rapidly growing markets around new technology innovations.
WiNexus searches for lesser known companies in these targeted technology sectors and evaluates them based on management team, revenue growth and profitability, long term outlook, and degree of innovation. The ideal company would be 5 to 10 years old with steady revenue growth and profits generated through sales of its products or services. We are not interested in technology companies that are sustained by investment activity or are growing through acquisition.
